123 Live Help 3.0 released

The greatest difference between 123LiveHelp 3.0 and the previous version is the way to keep the chat room data (of the rooms, predefined messages, user info, banned users and chat transcripts, etc. ) as the mysql database is now available in addition to the original text format. And generously speaking it's more powerful for the staff and admin, more friendly to the end users.

The changes are:

1) For the staff and admin:

  • a) Faster and Handy Search

The search becomes speedy and "search by keyword" is added. More new attributes like login time, conversation length and message quantity, etc. will be listed in the search result too for the staff or admin to locate a chat session.

  • b) More Friendly Customer Name

The guest name is replaced by nickname which is easier to ring a bell for staff and admin.

2) For the staff:

  • c) Staff Rating

The staff current rating is shown in the staff panel to ensure quality service.

  • d) User Info Panel

In the staff panel, the user info area is adjusted so that only items with higher priority are listed and the initial question will be there, which can be search criteria too.

  • e) Remarks will be Saved

The remarks memo a staff left for a customer will be kept for future reference and can be searched.

3) For the end customer:

  • f) Prettier GUI

Neat GUI for the end customer is added, and more staff status buttons are available for the owner to choose.

  • g) Chat Log to Email

The transcripts will be sent to customer's email when the conversation is done.

  • h) Reconnect and Exit

Reconnect and Exit are added to the customer end.

i) Ask a Question Instantly

Customer may fill in a question in the login panel to enter room with a question being prompted.

4) For the admin:

  • j) Full Log

Even if an admin logs in the admin panel in the middle of some conversation, he may still check the full transcripts of a chat session back from the beginning. The content of both parties are shown with different colors, and the panel can be resized.

  • k) Mail Server


    SSL SMTP mail server is now supported
  • l) Custom Chat Transcripts


    The items and format of the transcripts, whether at admin, staff or customer end, can be configured easily now by the admin.

5) For all:

  • m) Video Window

Video component skin is changed and bugs are fixed.

  • n) Chat Server

The server stability is enhanced and bugs are fixed.

  • o) Secure connection

cross-proxy requesting for connection is now accomplished (in the circumstances that the socket became inactive) to ensure more secure connection.
