How to show room list for html chat?

Q: I have uploaded 123 Flash Chat client into my web server and the html chat doesn't work correctly.I could not even see the room list displayed.

A: Html chat (also known as Ajax chat)room list is transfered through API with http port(by default is 35555).So please do the following:

1.suppose your ip/domain is "your_website_domain",so please try to visit http://your_website_domain:35555/rooms.js, to see if you get some information such as:

var rooms=[{"owner":"admin","memberonly":"0","en":"1","max":2 00,"id":"1","pwd":"0","passallmessage":"1","name": "Default Room","count":0,"desc":"Tip: Here you may test enter, exit room, private chat, etc.","st":0,"speaker":"","wm":"Free Video Chat Rooms Powered by www.123flashchat.com"},{"owner":"admin","memberonl y":"0","en":"1","max":200,"id":"2","pwd":"0","pass allmessage":"1","name":"Multimedia Room","count":0,"desc":"A room with Youtube video and MP3 player for you to play with!","st":0,"speaker":"","wm":"Free Video Chat Rooms Powered by www.123flashchat.com"},
..........

If you could not get this information,please make sure you have opened port 35555 as the http port for 123 Flash Chat and this port has not been blocked by your server firewall.


2.open "html-chat-login.html " in your client side and then find "rooms.js",please replace it with "http://your_website_domain:35555/rooms.js". save and close.

3.open your html chat through http://<your_website_domain>/html-chat-login.html .


PS: if you are using other port,please make changes correspondingly.
