Default Questions before I buy

1) Is there any sort of discounts for buying modules when I buy flashchat rather than buy them later? I'd love to have the whiteboard, for example, but it costs more than FlashChat itself does!
2) I want to add emotions and avatars, but don't want to pay you to do it. I'm passable enough in Flash, I can create them. Can I add them myself?
3) I spoke to one of your reps about 123FlashChat last year, and they said the support was six months and after that 20% of the purchase price per year. Has it now changed to three months and 30%?
4) Can I modify the videos and MP3s played in the embedded video player? If so, how? I can't figure this out in the demo.

Thanks,
Joe

Hi,

1. The discount depends to how many you'll buy from us. And you know if you purchase not much, the whiteboard exactly cost more than the chat itself. You know our engineer waste a lot to design the module.
2. Yes, you can create the emotions and avatars by yourself. We have a tuition on our homepage.
3. About the support and purchase price, we have a new regulation: the standard version support 3 months and charge 30% for one year renewal.
4.You can change the video via the admin panel—〉Rooms—〉“room_name" —〉Edit media

Best Regard

You can't modify the emotions and avatars by youself in the current version, but you can purchase one hour service fee($100) , they could modify for you.

Dear Joe, thanks for writing us!

>1) Is there any sort of discounts for buying modules when I buy flashchat rather than buy them later? I'd love to have the whiteboard, for example, but it costs more than FlashChat itself does!

I'm afraid no discount is available for modules along with license purchase.
The point is the modules are designed to enhance the chat features while they're not obligatory, therefore user can buy only necessary according to their needs.
In this case, you may buy modules now with the license or later.
The whiteboard module costs $499, it can function on two conditions: a. 123flashchat license, b. Flash media server which you may purchase from Macromedia server, so the module itself is like a key to turn on the function on 123flashchat, and you can see the major part to cost you a fortune is actually the FMS server.

>2) I want to add emotions and avatars, but don't want to pay you to do it. I'm passable enough in Flash, I can create them. Can I add them myself?

The bad news is that the flash source code is not available for sale, so technically you can't add it by yourself.
But you may create some according to the spec. we've announced in the FAQ,
http://www.123flashchat.com/design-faq.html#a6
once you're done, send them in a ZIP to us, we'll replace for you.
It's gonna take some time of us so the developing fee will be charged, but considering the major work is done by yourself, the price is negotiable.
Is that acceptable?

>3) I spoke to one of your reps about 123FlashChat last year, and they said the support was six months and after that 20% of the purchase price per year. Has it now changed to three months and 30%?

Don't worry, the old policy remains

>4) Can I modify the videos and MP3s played in the embedded video player? If so, how? I can't figure this out in the demo.

Yes, fortunately you may do the video and MP3 configuration in the Admin Panel-> room settings-> specific room, edit media.

Hope to hear from you soon.
