123 Flash Chat with a Joomla! 1.5.3 hosted server implementation?

Hi,

We have a Joomla! site with vBulletin 3.7 installed on a server hosted by ENOM.COM using their Linux hosting environment. As such I have limited access to server-side activities and I am not sure how to perform certain tasks as described in the installation instructions I have read here, such as starting the chat server.

Can someone please describe how this type of implementation would be performed?

Dear Bgarceau,
As you mentioned that your site was hosted by ENOM.COM using their Linux hosting environment, I assume you're using a shared hosting which only has FTP access.
123 Flash Chat requires a dedicated server with unrestricted shell access to run the java server, therefore Daniel has recommended our chat hosting service instead.
With our hosting, your database in the Joomla! site can still be immigrated to the chat room.
