Default v5 upgrade problem

Hi, I was just trying to install the new version v5. I was sent the fcserver.jar by Joy and I added that to the lib directory but when I try to run the server i get the following error. Note I can run the demo fine but the error comes when i add the full version fcserver. any help would be appreciated:

This is a full version of 123 Flash Chat Server 5.0 (build 0915) for unlimited users license

Sorry for the trouble.

From your error message I can see, apparently you only replace the full vresion key,
not re-install the 5.0 demo version first.
So please follow the upgrading instructions I gave you earlier to finish the upgrade.

I did uninstall the old version. Anyhow, I figured out the problem.

The problem is that i downloaded the new version by using the wget linux command and it downloaded the old version instead of the new version. I only figured that out when I decided to download the demo via the web rather than from the wget link. you should check the wget link that's in the Quickinstall guide because that's downloading the old version not the new one.

Do you mean:
$ wget http://www.123flashchat.com/download...ashchat.tar.gz
well you must download it long time ago?
because it was already updated to 5.0.
Thanks for updating me anyway.

Default version changes??

so let me see if I got this straight now...

If I upgrade the base package, do I have to get a new 50_fcserver.jar file version to match the base package version??

Default Version issues?

Okay... so since I posted the question above, I found this in your FAQs...

"1. If I buy 123 flash chat software, can I update freely?
Yes you can, the free subscription varies with the license level you have purchased, for example, 50 users license get 6 months upgradability freely as well as technical support, while unlimited users license get 24 months with priority. "

So then my next question would naturally be...

Why then don't you folks have a page where folks can download the older base versions, in case folks, such as myself, need to get the package again to re-install??

I've been in I.T. forever it seems, and most folks use versioning numbers even in the distribution file name for that purpose, among other reasons. Why don't you?

Default Version issues?

Here's the message from the screen when I try to use the 6.1 version of the fcserver.jar file with the 7.1 base package, even though I have already added that location to my CLASSPATH and rebooted the system.
