I'm currently evaluating Flash based chat options for a site I'm involved with.
The site is running PostNuke 0.7.6.0 Platinum. I download 123FlashChat 5.0 and successfully installed it and have the PostNuke module for 123FC Version 5 also installed. I can connect to the chat server, I can see the rooms and I can log in as the default Admin/Admin user. However I'd say my PostNuke integration is failing miserably. If I'm logged in as a PostNuke user, when I load the SWF client from the link in the PostNuke block, it picks up my username, but I get the error message "Unknown Error!" Any attempt to enter any user or password other than "Admin/Admin" generates this same error. I noticed there was only one skin in the PostNuke zip, but there are several skins in the main chat server download. I copied the skin I wanted to use to the modules/chat/skins, but when I define it in client.xml, the loading animation stops on the "loading skin" progress bar. So my questions for now are: 1. Does your current software synchronize properly with PostNuke 0.7.6.0 ? 2. Is it possible to use a different skin than "standard"? I tried "beige" and I'm just not having any luck getting it to load. Thank you for your assistance so that I might properly evaluate your software. -- Dundas |

You'd comfirm if auth-url is alright at first, after you copy chat module to your postnuke.the auth-url should be(if you have an account named test)
http://yourhost.com/modules.php?op=m...;password=test if it echo 0,it means connects to your database successfully then please set auth-url in default.xml,it should be,please don't forget to restart chat server after you change it http://yourhost.com/modules.php?op=m...ord=%password% if that url echos 0,and you still get "unknow error",the only reason there must be some mistake with auth-url you set, please check it carefully. about skin.you could copy "skins" folder in standard version and overwrite chat client's "skins" folder which in on your postnuke folder.then you can use all the skins, just set it in client.xml |
