My chat is integrated with my Vbulletin board...this morning my password expired and I had to change it...well now when i open the chat, it says wrong password...apparently the password change did this....I have no clue how to fix this?? if it does this for me, im guessing it will also for all my members..
now for some questions, is there a way to set the messages to appear on one line as default for all guests, and is there a way to change the sounds? the default ones are annoying. Thank you...i can not use the chat until I get the password issue worked out...so im stuck |

to edit the sound, you may edit the flash source file, if you purchaed the golden package, you will get the flash source file, please open it with flash mx 2004 or flash 8. If you don't know how to use flash mx or flash 8, please send a mail to support@123flashchat.com , our engineer would like to edit the sound for you, we charge 1 hour service fee($50).
before you changed the sound, you may edit client.xml file to disable the sound: open client.xml , find: <enableRoomSounds value="true" /> <enableMonitorSounds value="true" /> <enterRoomSound value="true" /> <messageSound value="true" /> ... set them to "false" about one line message settins, you can edit client.xml file, find: <singleLineMode value="false" /> set it to: <singleLineMode value="true" /> hope it can help, ![]() |

another problem...
after chatting privately with someone, then when you type a message in the main room, it will say (to the entire room) shellr says to so-in-so: which lets everyone know you were just in a private chat...and its annoying! how you you fix that? |

That's not a bug i think. after you talk to a person in private window, if you want to talk to all in the lobby ,just click your owen name in the user list, (in fact when you open a private window ,you clicked his/her name, so that;s why when you talk in the lobby it will show like this: you say to ***
so just maek sure you don't click anybody's name ,it will be okay. ![]() |

I've looked into this to see if you can force the focus back onto "all users" when in pm with someone. I think there is a way to hack the code to get rid of this "feature" but I haven't taken enough time to figure it out yet. I had put it on the back burner, but your post has reminded me of this issue...so in the next week or so, I'll take a second look at the code and see if I can't rewrite it to eliminate that feature.
We did manage to hack the code so that it doesn't show a "typing" status when users are in pm....which is another thing that makes it obvious you are in pm....we found this annoying when in chat with a regular user and an invisible admin...as it was obvious there was a convo going on to anyone else in the room. |
