Webcam Icon Unclickable

I'm having some intermittent problems with my webcam users. Some users have their webcam hooked up and it shows the webcam icon next to their name, but when you click on the icon, nothing happens - it appears not to be clickable. No window opens at all.

Also, I'm getting users who see nothing in the chat window, just a blank screen when others send messages and also when they themselves send messages.

Are these known issues? Other than asking them to ensure they have the latest version of chat and are not blocked by a firewall, are there other things I can ask them?
