That might be the worst response time I have ever seen in any product ever built... :
Seriously, don't you see the irony of the situation? You insist on running this forum backwards from every other forum ont he net and it takes over 3 days to get a response to a simple question that is probably on a few customers minds... you lose business that way, Joy. It would be in your best interest to change it. Anyhow, I am curious. I would only buy the banner chat to build up my chat room. If I have the banner on 1000 pages that are being viewed - does that automatically count towards my users, or must the viewer type in the banner to count? I doubt every viewer would actually be using the banner chat, or even understand that it was a real chat and not a regular ad. So it wouldn't make sense to buy it if that is all true. Please clarify, I am interested in the banner module, but not if it is just going to suck my 50 user license to death like that. |

Hi Wolfy ,
Sorry for the delay response , and thanks for your suggestions, here's our answer for your question about the banner chat module: 1 banner chat client will use 1 connection,so 50 users license can only have 50 connections in the same time. If you have 1000 pages being viewed in the same time, you should have 1000 users license, otherwise, only 50 pages can login to the chat room. |

that makes no sense, since probably only 1 out of 300 will actually know it is an actual interactive banner, and probably only 1 out of 1000 will care... Not exactly a good campaign
![]() If you can change that, I'll buy it, otherwise it makes no sense for me. Thanks for the response, even though ti was years later than I would have liked ![]() |

Hi Wolfy ,
I know your point, the current banner chat client version will automatic connect to the chat server, so every page will connect to the server and cost 1 connection. maybe it's a good idea to do some changes, when the user want to chat in the banner, he have to click somewhere on the banner, then the banner will connect to the server, otherwise the banner won't connect to the server and won't cost 1 connection. how about this way? ![]() |

do you have a way to convince the user that they won't be connected to a regular chat site?
Most banners are used for advertisement, and most advertisement is for a site that is going to ask a user for a credit card. Most surfers ignore banners.... Maybe could allow unlimited banner chatters to people who have purchased the video module - the only reason I want the banner chat is to get people into my chatrom, where the video is. People without video should have a different type of "banner chat". Maybe the banner chat can say "chat with no video right here, on this page!" and then provide a link to chat with video. Reallly, there is no point in using the banner for actual chat, so I would never pay for a user license for it. It might be a neat way to get people to come to the real chatroom though! |

Maybe you just need a banner to get people to come to the real chatroom, and the banner should detect whether the user have webcam or not , and display the diffrent infomation in the banner, and the banner is not for chat anymore.
if that , it's easily to do so, our enginner would like to write a few code for you to detect the webcam, and you can insert to your flash banner to display the diffrent image or text. |

I afraid its not work in that way , in that case ,the license means no use anymore. As Daniel said its possible to creat a banner to detect the user have a cam or not that could lead them to different chatroom [a/v chatroom or text room, in another word , its not a banner chat but a flash link for login chatroom]

all users connect to chatroom will be counted as a connection , no matter the user has a cam or not [the number will be counted once they get the room list in lobby] , so our idea is that you can insert codes to detect the user have a cam or not , and show the different things [like links or else] according to that result .
