Hi,
I am trying 123flashchat for a customer who want to use this software, but i have the following 3 questions: 1) Is there any script to auto restart the chat service if it goes down? I had this problem today, and chat was not working for 1 day. 2) Embedded httpd service is for testing purposes. I use apache web server, and there is no need to start every time another web service in different ports. Is there anyway to stop the httpd service included in 123flashchat server? 3) Does anyone tried to use 123flashchat with xoops? I tried to connect it and it was not working. Is there anyone who did it succesfully? Thank you, Alexander |

Hi Alexander,
Here's my answer: >1) Is there any script to auto restart the chat service if it goes down? I had this problem today, and chat was not working for 1 day. the windows version have the "java service wrapper" , it will work just like you mentioned, but the linux version havn't. 2) Embedded httpd service is for testing purposes. I use apache web server, and there is no need to start every time another web service in different ports. Is there anyway to stop the httpd service included in 123flashchat server? Yes , you can stop the embedded httpd service in this way: open <123flashchat server dir>/etc/fcserver.xml find: <http-server ip="*" port="35555" enable="On"></http-server> set it to: <http-server ip="*" port="35555" enable="Off"></http-server> save it, and restart the chat server. 3) Does anyone tried to use 123flashchat with xoops? I tried to connect it and it was not working. Is there anyone who did it succesfully? Yes, we have a lot of customers integrated 123flashchat successfully, you can try the postnuke chat module for 123flashchat, as I know, xoops is very similar to postnuke. If you still have problem , we provide the integration service for our chat server license buyer, we charge 2 hours serivce fee ($100) , you can just send an email to support@123flashchat.com , our CRM system will generate an new support ticket and our enginner will response faster than the user-to-user forum system. hope the answer can help and good luck ![]() |
