Default We need a better manual

I have never been this confused in my life when it comes to installing some program online. From what I can see, the manual provided to install chat server is easy as 1 2 3 where you download .exe file, run it, copy client folder to your server, then your chat room should be up in no time. But noo, after spending hours trying to figure out why my chat room keep saying connecting, I found out that my hosting needs to have SSH or Telnet authority. Now, where does it in hell says that in the manual? By commonsense, when you say upload files to your server, I personally think of using FTP because there was no mention about using SSH or telnet. After asking my hosting about SSH function, I was able to enable it. But now the problem is, what the hell am I suppose to do with it? There was no manual about how to upload files using SSH or perhaps I'm still misunderstanding it due to lack of instructions.

My situation now is this, I have SSH access to my hosting, I have installed chat server demo, and client folder is ready to be uploaded. Can anyone here please guide me through every important step I should take to install this chat room? Also unlike some of you, I'm no rich person and I'm not willing to pay additional $100 for set up.

Here is the link to chat room if you want to take a look: http://keroroplatoonhq.com/forum/123flashchat.php

Lastly, please get better manual where it illustrate every step that explains where does files located, which part of file needs to be edited, and where does it needs to be uploaded using what kind of method.

Thank you.

Even more confusion after reading some of other topics here.

"Note: DONNOT copy the "server" folder to protect them from being downloaded by chatters, which is very insecure."

So you do not want me to upload the server folder to my web hosting. But at least I understand that this folder must go somewhere besides sitting in my local pc. Which means that I have to have my own server set up in order to run the server 24/7? And that brings my next question, how do I set up my own server? I hear you recommend getting apache but what exactly do I need to do?

Also if I take the risk and uploaded the server folder on my web hosting, how do I run the server from there? I'll probably password lock it or make it not accessible by public.

Our manul is definitely far from perfect,we are keeping working to make it better.
But I am confused soemhow,it's insecure for you to copy the server side to web server directory because it maybe downlaoded by the chatters. And you could copy the server side anywhere you want to be the 123flashchat server,it's depending on you fully.
AS to your question about the folder transfer tool, for client side, you could just use ftp. It's Ok.But if you want to upload server side and want to run it,you may need to use some tools with linux command line, such as SSH.
I have entered your chat room and it seems as if it works very ok,I guess you have sloved your problem indepently.
