Which version of red5 is embedded with 123Flashchat 6.9.3? How many video sesions can this version handle without problems? How can the end users upgrade by himself the embedded red5 video server (if it is possible) or ... can an standalone instance of red5 (say 7) be installed and not use the embeded one?

Yes you can have a stand alone RED5. I have used RED5 for 2 years now without big problems.
