About Lewism's post, which is about the server hacked problem.
If you are encountering this issue, firstly you should check if the people already has permission to control your server or just your chat program. If the hacker already has permission to control your server, you are suggested to reset the server accounts and improve server security, please try it. If the hacker just has permission to control chat program, it's easy to fix this problem by yourself. You just need to remove that admin and superadmin accounts from your admin groups and then add a new superadmin to your chat. Please do it referring to the following steps: Ⅰ. change the superadmin and admin of your chat: 1, find this directory "TopCMM/123FlashChat/server/etc/groups/default/" and then open this file "server.xml" 2, find some code like the following code: <Users> <admin> <user passwd="admin" name="admin" userGroup="superadmin" md5="Off"></user> </admin> <ReservedUserName> <word>Administrator</word> </ReservedUserName> </Users> then reset the name and password of them. Please try it. <user passwd="admin" name="admin" userGroup="superadmin" md5="Off"></user> Ⅱ. restart the server (Your license information can be found in the about window.) Linux/Mac: #cd <123flashchat installation directory>/server/ #./fcserver stop #./fcserver start Windows: Start->All Programs->TopCMM->123FlashChat->Server->Restart 123 Flash Chat In addition, you should just set one superadmin for your chat and make the password more complicated, also you need to limit the admin account group's permission. I hope you understand. More information about how to set the admin account group's permission, please refer to this page: User Manual of 123 Flash Chat Server Software Version 9.2 |

This is what I find weird about this place, no one cares to help each other.
Then they ask questions but never bother to come back and update the thread. This is the strangest software/community I've EVER been involved with and I've been at this a long time. Update your thread so we can all learn what happened friend. Last edited by lewism; 12-22-2011 at 12:40 PM. |

Reason1: You are using higher license version than your chat software version that you are installed, for example, you installed v9.0, but we have upgraded your license to v9.2, now you only uploaded the license files to v9.0, and started it, the correct action is you must install chat v9.2, and upload the license files. Reason2: Your chat client version is higher than your server version, for example, you have installed chat v9.2, and you have started v9.2, but you visit the chat which version is v9.0, correct action is please check your chat server version which you have started, and check the client version which you are visting. |
