Default Uploaded images = Security Error

Since changing the database over, I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for support to stick with me long enough to make sure that things are working as they should. Of course, every time I send support a message, they often don't understand what I am asking so send me the wrong answer or one which has nothing to do with where I am at, at that point.

Since the change, users cannot view uploaded images, they cannot send any images, they cannot upload new avatar, they cannot do many things related to such functions.

Everything works as it should when the users are on the LAN side. I have checked firewall over and over again and this does not seem to be a firewall issue.

Where do these images go? Is there supposed to be a path for temp images to be uploaded to or something like that? I am guessing that uploaded images and avatars are not stored in the database? If they are, I assume this is temporary so that it does not fill the database with such things that never get removed.

One other thing which is not clear is that I have changed from derby to mysql. However, in the GUI settings for Server Settings, Integration, I have Database as Mysql and it is connecting to my Joomla site. The other one is connecting to it's own database.

Should both point to the same database or is this correct?

Is the module Joomla 1.7 compatible? Is this why it's not working maybe, because the site is now Joomla 1.7

The trouble only seems to be related to whn an image is being transferred to FS.
Video, icons, animated icons, all of those things work so I believe this has something to do with FS not knowing where to put images or not having a permission to write a file somewhere.

Where is FS trying to put images that users are uploading?

So much fun with Support.
They finally contact me on my emergency ticket and ask me for access.
I immediately set it up for them and it takes hours for them to get back to me only to tell me they can't get in. I know for a fact it works because I tested it and told the support person to use the alternate port I gave him.

Guess if you can... waiting all freaking day for a reply after that and have not heard back from them yet. It's not 11pm and I've wasted my entire day waiting for them by staying near the PC so I could help if needed.

And of course, I've wasted another day of advertising which I can't pause.

Wonderful Support there TopCMM.
