Hi
I don't understand this bit: from a prevoius reply: "if your server is unix/linux os telnet or ssh to your server, ./fcserver.sh start" You speak like whole world has a Computer Science degree. yes okay so how do that. I have apache installed locally and I can't get it to work. Can you run this locally to Test your demo? "Step 2: Modify /etc/rc.local file, add one row /usr/local/123flashchat/ fserver.sh just replace "/usr/local/123flashchat/ " with your FCSERVER_HOME value" Now where would this rc.local file be? I have you demo but can't get it to work. Please don't tell me you can host it for me, and install it for me. Its not the point, and anyways how will you make sales if people can't even install your demo. Cheers |

which os of your server?
from your post, it seems you test the demo on your local unix/linux server, linux ? freebsd ? solaris ? "./fcserver.sh start" it's a very simple shell command, if you can use unix/linux system, I think it's not a problem about the ssh or telnet, but you test it on your local server, you don't have to ssh or telnet, you can just run this command in your console window. for the system reboot auto-start script, /etc/rc.local is for some linux system, if solaris, the reboot auto-start script is usually located in /etc/rc3.d/S99local ,maybe you can refer the OS document to find the reboot auto-start script. hope it can help, ![]() |

Did not really help me. Where is the rc.local file stored. Its certainly not under the etc folder.
Do I have to move teh server directory? Can I move just the server executable out and leave the rest? Really unclear |

every os have his own auto-start script, if you tell me your server os, maybe I can tell you exactly.
if you want to move the server directory, you can't just move the server executable file, you have to move the whole directory. btw, we released version 3.0, I recommend you update to our lartest version. if you have still have the installation problem , don't worry, our tech support team provide the free installation service to our license buyer. ![]() |
