Default Chat (demo) problem

I have a problem with the demo version... It goes like this... I open the swf file from the web and then it loads skins... then is says: connecting to server... and then loading shat rooms... and then the rooms aren't loaded... A window pops up which says that somekind of a "site key is not valid"? What does this mean??? Please help...

Regards...

Urban

Hi,
your client.xml and server.xml both have a key in them, these must match exactly for the client to work.

Is it possible you have the case for them wrong?

I sugest you extract the stock client.xml and server.xml files and replace yours and try with the defaults. It could be the text editor you used.

please open your client.xml with a IE browser to check if there is some problems in this file,
maybe your xml file have some format error like this:
Code:
<item name="Profile" url="http://yourwebsite/profile.php?a=b&user=%USER%" />
the "&" in xml should be converted to "&amp;", so the correct format should:
Code:
<item name="Profile" url="http://yourwebsite/profile.php?a=b&amp;user=%USER%" />
or maybe your xml tag missed the "/" , like
<enableRoomSounds value="true">
should be:
<enableRoomSounds value="true" />

if the IE broswer can open the xml file and you can't see any error warning message, the chat room should works fine!
