Server Starts then stops

Im running in virtual host setup from a hosting providor. Server is a linux derivitive. I have ssh access. Server will start, and client can connect, then disconnects. Turns out server is stopping after about 8 seconds (rough not exact time), I can restart fine. No errors in logs. No indication in access.log

The linux is some derivitive of slackware. Apache server. Using the JRE that was part of your distribution

Any ideas?

Ok, I have found out that my hosting providor will not allow me to run services like this. I mean they run, but they have tasks that go kill them.

The products 'free eval' approach requires me to have dedicated hardware, which i don't/

So now my delima is this, I cant justify spending the money for the product or hosting services elsewhere unless I can let my users try it, test etc. We have a phpBB community of 4000 but I don't know if this will add enough incremental value to be worth the $.

Oh well Ill see if i can leverage teh phpBB demo, but have reservations

Thanks for your offer, but my point is I am boxed in that I can't trial or evaluate the product without buying it and paying for a years hosting. Not a efficient trial/eval process me.

How about I pay a set up fee, trial it for XX days? If we buy the setup fee is applied to the purchase/hosting set up fee?
