Hi everybody and thank you for taking the time to read my post.
I am using the demo version of 123 Flash Chat, and had my web host install it. I now have SSH access, and am trying to stop fcserver.sh. I input the command "./fcserver.sh stop", but it returns me the error, "-jailshell: ./fcserver.sh: Permission denied". I have tried FTPing into the directory with SmartFTP and changing the permissions for Group (even though I'm pretty sure my account is Owner) so that it may have write access, but it still gives me the error, "550 Could not change perms on fcserver.sh: Permission denied". So as you can see, I've got myself into somewhat of a pickle here and am trying to get myself out of it. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you ;D |

the chmod command like this:
cd <123flashchat installed dir> chmod u+x fcserver.sh chmod u+x ./jre/bin/java I don't recommend you upload all files from your windows computer, you can download the 123flashchat.tar.gz file directory from your server with this command: wget http://www.123flashchat.com/download...ashchat.tar.gz or: lynx http://www.123flashchat.com/download...ashchat.tar.gz if you didn't install wget or lynx, you can download this file on your windows computer, then upload "123flashchat.tar.gz" file to your server . then , please uncompress this file: tar zxf 123flashchat.tar.gz cd 123flashchat/server ./fcserver.sh start ![]() |

Thank you for your help. However, I talked to my webhost and there was some privileges problems that would take him a while to fix. So he just did it for me, and thinks came out great! Thanks for your support! Sorry I won't be able to post for a while since I have a few errands to run.
