At first, let us confirm, are your chat server and client at same computer?
If so,just use default setting(primary server host = "*") If not, don't edit fcserver.xml, just edit client.xml, change primary server host to ip where chat server located at. prmary server host = 200.68.25.70 |

Ummm nice try, but i,ve already did that, and many other combination.
Maybe because i dont speak english very well i`m missunderstanding something. I,ve installed 123 flash chat on mi pc, and then uploaded "client" folder to my ftp server. I have not uploaded "server" folder to my server I,ve unlocked the 51127 port and also 80 port just in case.. What do you mean with "chat server and client at same computer?" -Isnt the "client" supossed to be on the web server? -Isnt the "fcserver" file supossed to be on my pc inside the "etc" folder? Once again, i think im not understanding things clearly... |

as well,so that's why i said "chat server and client at same computer?" so i guess prmary server host = 200.68.25.70 is just your ip address on webserver.not where your chat server located at,but you know there is no chat server on 200.68.25.70,chat server is just existed in your own pc,isn't it? so you should install chat server on your webserver, and then upload client under web folder(ex:/httpdocs/..) that's why we mentioned in faq that only ftp account is not enough to run our chat.you need to have ssh or telnet access. |
