Default Re: how about adding support for JABBER server..

kats that's a great idea, i was just comming in to mention something similar!

Why not just make an optional intant messenger program similar to yahoo's im that works WITH the flashchat client's buddy list. Basically when you add a buddy in chat it would also add to your im program. Then make it a really usefull app by using the jabber server option letting it work with the other big databases. I personally would like a way to host the im server on my own machine instead of paying a monthly fee to have it hosted else where but it could be just like the flashchat is now where you can do it either way.

I had paid to have the exe desktop app for flashchat when I first purchased it but had to quickly remove it as most of the main virus protection programs saw it as a virus. If you do decide to make a desktop im app I hope you take that into consideration before releasing it, especially now that the search engines are taking a more active role on alerting people to sites that may have harmful downloads I would be very leary of trying the desktop exe app again unless that issue was addressed. But it would be cool to have a stand alone desktop im app integrated with the chat buddy list with a button to open the chat client right from the im app.

But really, how cool would a good desktop im app that's integrated with your chat's buddy list be? I looked at your current im program that you offer and I'm not really very interested in that type of im app, I'm thinking more like a stand alone desktop im app similar to yahoo's im app integrated with chat.
