It's the linux/unix permission issues.
Could you follow what Daniel has suggested to make a try?please use root Could you please use su to switch to root account to start the server.
You could try to login in as a root and then restart our server ,and for your ticket,I see you use "su - admin",what do you want to do?Unlike Windows,in linux/unix the root has the powerest instaed of admin.You may just use "su -" to switch to root account.
