Required Features for version 7.0

Dear topcmm team

Thanks for opening this useful user forum. My organisation (heartsanctuary.org) use PRO version of your chat software to do online open heart meditation/prayer. A speaker is assigned to lead the meditation and the members just read and be within the heart and meditate. Everytime new line of sentence from the speaker/leader appear, a bell is ringing, we open our eyes and read the line and back to be within our heart to meditate, enjoy the Love within the heart.

So, we need a feature of bell that can differentiate between speaker and ordinary member when their message appear on the screen. At the moment, anyone who is typing message will trigger the bell. When we assigned a speaker, there should be this kind of feature to diferentiate between speaker and ordinary member message. A kind of mouse click on speaker name that mark a speaker done by a member from their own computer can be used to activate this feature if available.

Second, most of the time, the speaker need to repeat typing the same sentence. At the moment, there is no arrow key or other control key assigned to your chat software, that can hold /buffer the last sentence that had been typed. When we used to use msn groups chat room, this facility (including marking the speaker I mentioned above) is available and very helpful, so the speaker does not need to copy and paste or re-type the same sentence.

I hope some of your team had experiences in joyning msn groups chat I mentioned here so they understand what I mean. That msn groups chat has been discontinued by msn and that is why we use your PRO version now. We do still miss those features even though we use your PRO version now.

Those are our required additional features at the moment and hopefully you are so kind to consider to include those features in your version 7. Also please fix some bugs from version 6.4 I reported already via email to your team. That includes: wrong number of online members, and a delay of message. I have to use again version 6.3 to correct this problem.

Joy kindly send me the corrected jar file but I better wait for your release 7.0 to make sure everything is better. Changing into newer version is nice if the newer version does not create problem in our activity.

thanks for writing us!

1) The different sound alerts for speaker and for regular users,
well, that's a useful idea, I've noted it down and we may add it in v7.x.

2) Save typed messages, we don't have this feature yet, but you can try the predefined message function to facilitate chatting by defining frequent messages at first.

3) the bug you mentioned is already fixed in our latest release at March 16th.
I'd send you the update and you can try it out now.
7.0 may takes another 1 or two months, you don't have to wait that long to enjoy the new features of v6.4.
