Help file problem

When I try to acces the help file (*.hlp) of my projector through F1, i get the message (translation):

" The subject doesn't exist. Please contact you provider for a new helpfile"

any clues on what's going on

I've also tried using a chm file (from another program- not self-made), but i get the message that it isn't a windows help file or is damaged
