Default How safe is SWFKIT sourcecode in applications

Hi,

I am verymuch intrested in swfkit product.

But my question is

1. Flash source code can be eazily seen by tons of software in market
2. VB or DOTNET exe's created code can also be seen by lots of decompilers

How safe is SWFKIT source code of my applications. Say is it possible to see the source code of the ffscript i have in my applications.

This is very important for people who intend to use swfkit.
Regards,
Ram

Thank you for being interested in our product. SWFKit 3 has a unique feature: transparently encypting the resource files. This feature allows you to encrypt swf movies, flv movies, mp3 sounds, xml files, etc, and load them in the flash player without writing code to decrypt them - as if the files are not encrypted at all. To do this, just by checking the files in the "resources" panel (there is a checkbox before each file added in the resources panel).

After being encrypted, the swf files can hardly be decompiled, because at this time there is no tool that can decrypt swfkit encrypted files. And there are tools that have ability to extract swf files from memory, but they cannot work for swfkit either, because swfkit also encrypts memory data. Since the encrypted files cannot be played or decompiled, you need not worry about your source code to be accessed by unathorized users.

SWFKit also encrypts ffish script code. And SWFKit 3 allows you to call ffish script objects in actionscript, which can also be encrypted because the swf files can be encrypted.

In a word, SWFKit can well protect your source code. However, we do not mean that SWFKit provides 100% protection, because there is no 100% protection, unless you never release your application. We can only say that SWFKit is one of the best tools that can protect your resouce files.

I am developing a training program using Adobe Captivate 2.0. Will your program protect these files?

Also, I saw a post on the forum that was not answered. The question was, the program puts the swf files to a temp folder, where anyone can then move to another location and run the program. How does SWFKIT prevent running the swf files outside of the exe file created?

Thanks for your response!

Yes, if the files are flash files(swf files). If you check the check boxes before the swf files, and specify a password, in the "Resources" panel in swfkit, the swf files will be encrypted. In that case, the files cannot be played outside the exe file, even if they are not packed into the output exe file, or are extracted to a temporary folder.
