Default Data Set size limitations.

Hello again,

I would like to know what size limitations are imposed on using the methods getVariable(), setVariable(), getArray(), putArray(), getObject() and putObject.

I know that both the array methods and the object methods implicitly call either getVariable() or setVariable(), so any limitations that will be imposed would be imposed here (I think).

Basically what I need to know is what is the largest piece of data that I may safely put into and take out of the FlashPlayer. Also, are there any limitations from Flash as to the limits of variable passing.

Thank you in advance.

The limitation rests with the memory size. The length of the array has no limit.

Thank you for your quick response.

This is good news to us as it means that we can seriously consider building industrial strength applications using SQFKit.

A final question regarding the product. I know that I can use activeX objects in SQFKit. Does activeX support extend as far as graphical widgets? Like if I want to use an activeX data view for example, would I be able to use the activeXObject object to get an instance of it and then use it's publically exposed methods to display it on screen.

Also, if this is possible, are there any known issues with visual activeX components ?

Thank you.

You can use the createControl method to embed an ActiveX control in your movie.
