Hey again guys. I have to say, the more I use the SWFKit demo, the closer I am to buying - the FFish Script is VERY well done. It sure beats calling FScommands...
Is there a full feature list of what SWFKit can do as far as I/O, dll/activeX, etc? I've been using another swf2exe application that has some features that I'm very interested in using: embeded FTP (with up to 10 concurrent connections) instanciate multiple dlls (has limited access via fscommands) browser embedding, pdf, wmv/wma embedding multi-form support embeded blowfish encryption This app has about 600 total fscommands, most matching functionality that I'm sure is in SWFKit. The only drawback is that they're all called by FSCommands. I'm very close to making the descision to make the switch to SWFKit, so if there's a full feature list, I'd very much like to do a comparison. I've already invested the money in the other app, as well as all the time on my current project, so I'd like to be very sure. Thanks for the great help so far! |

The only thing SWFKit doesn't support is "multi-form".
SWFKit provides an FTP ActiveX component. SWFKit can embed activex controls in Flash movie, such as wmv/wma, pdf, rm, browser, quicktime and any other activex controls. SWFKit can call dlls, supports blowfish and DES encryption/decryption The feature list: http://www.swfkit.com/compare.html |

Thank you. We don't plan to add the multi-form feature (In fact, we are not clear about the feature).
If you only want to run many instances of the same exe file, you can do it in FFish script. |

Basically, you'd be able to bundle multple SWFs in the exe and show/hide them as you would a multi-form document. An example would be lan app that would show a separate child window for setting options. Windows culd be modal or non modal.

SWFKit can bundle multple SWFs in an exe file but cannot display a child window(can only display a splash window).
But you can do it in Flash like our chat demo http://www.123flashchat.com/demo.html When you click the "Options" button, a child form appears. Thanks for your ideas, we will consider if we can add the features in the future version. |

Thanks for the example. Multi-forms would work exactly like the embeded options window, except they would be fully independant windows as opposed to being contrained to the main SWF form.
The swf2exe app I'm using now does have this feature, and I think it's the one I'll miss the most when I move to SWFKit. Thanks for the help, and keep up the good work! |
