Hello -
I was considering SWFKit for a Flash MX 2004 Professional application I have in mind. The application would be an exe wrapped around a SWF that would install on client PCs. This exe would need to poll a web service on regularly timed intervals to retrieve information (now) and update information (future release). The web service connection would need to happen through a secure (HTTPS) connection between the client PC and the server hosting the web service. For now, I would need a username/password logon method, and a way to run another method that would run a query and return a small resultset. In the future, I'm also interested in implementing a "Chat with Support" feature, maybe using 123 Flash Chat. Is this possible with SWFKit? If so, how easy would it be to implement? Thank you in advance for your help. Killthewabbit |

Most of your works can be done by MX2004 Pro. You just need SWFKit to convert your swf movies to an executable file.
It's very easy to convert your swf movies to an exe file using SWFKit. You can use the "WebServiceConnector" in MX2004Pro to poll a web service over HTTPS. |
