In the "Application Definition" interface we can define a "Version" but that version information is not the one used by Windows OS.
When you right-click a EXE file in Windows and select "Properties" and then the "Version" tab, the first line of info is about the "File version" and that info is always the same "1.0.0.1" That info is used by Installation Compiler and we have to specifically force the Installer to overwrite the EXE if it has the same version number. Is there a mechanism in SWFKit that allows us to change that version number? Note: The version information entered in SWFKit can be seen in the file properties under "Other version information" and is not taken into considaration by the OS in regards to application installation. |
