hey everyone,
i was wondering if there is any way for flash/swfkit to get display info from windows regarding multiple screens ie. how many there are, what resolution they are, and what positions they are arranged in. your help would be greatly appreciated, as this has been stumping me for a while |

well basically, it is a program that is for overlaying pictures and text onscreen to accompany video of a live news reporter. i made a program like this before, but i couldnt work out how to detect displays, so i just made it a draggable windowless flash and had to position it by hand every time.
(note, there is an editor window, and an overlay window. it is the overlay window im concerned about being able to position automatically) in the editor i would like to have a settings area where i can have a combo box populated with the available displays, so one can be chosen as the primary display. It would also be nice to detect how they are positioned in relation to each other so that it could display a mockup graphic of what it will look like (similar to the one in the windows display settings) the second question is then how do i position the overlay window once a screen has been chosen? does windows just treat a dual screen like one big, double width screen? thanks again |
