Problem playing video - embedded FLV On2 VP6 codec

I'm having a problem playing a file using an embedded FLV compressed using the On2 VP6 codec - the video will not show up on computers that do not have Flash 8 installed.

The swf is published from Flash 8 as a Flash 8 swf. This will not play since Flash 8 is not installed. If I publish as an .exe from Flash 8, it plays fine.

Back to the problem...

I've created the exe using the latest SWFKit (2.2 r2) as a standalone.

I'm the movies panel, I've selected the swf and "Pack movies" is deselected.

This exe plays fine on my computer however those that do not have Flash 8 installed can not see the video. The exe loads, the swf's non-video content appears, but the video will not display.

Any ideas?

To resolve the problem, you would have to build the standalone exe files with flash player 8. Please choose flash player 8 in
[Main menu]->[View]->[Options] dialog box.
