I Cant even run a simple exe like Notepad!

What am i doing wrong, i first tried to be able to run a pdf that is in a folder that i have called My_PDFs in my attachments under the Application Icon, but this was to confusing for me to achive, so i tried to add this to a simple button in flash 8

on (release)

fscommand("ffish_run","runNotePad");
}

but when i import the background with the button that has this command nothing happends, please lend some advice cause i really want to learn this application, i have only been able to get this comand to work

getURL("http://www.Google.com");

}
as a test it worked fine, but i dont want to just be able to launch a web site
