Default extract swf from exe?

Hi, i have an .exe that was created with swfkit pro 2.2r2, unfortuantly the person that created it has since left the company taking the original .swf and .fla files with him, is there any way to extract the .swf file from the .exe? a few things such as dates have to be altered and then the .exe can then be re-created.

If anyone knows if this is posible and even how to do it then please post back ASAP as i have a real tight deadline, you could even email me on ffredd101@hotmail.com

Thanks for your help, Dave

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mail.topcmm.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

It looks like your mail server either wont accept a 12mb file or your server is full

You should run the exe first and then check temp folder. You may find your required SWF in the folder somewhere....

Well you can recreate the exe but if some functionality is provided using SWFKit scripting objects inside exe then you wont be able to equip your new exe with those function and if you have .skp then its done!!!

otherwise you can retrieve your SWF file and also .fla file by any swf to fla decompiler... or if you run file recovery software you may find your original files that were deleted by previous developer.

is it clear?

I think it may help you alot!

Never mind!!! I found it!!!!!

the temp folder in my case was:
C:\Documents and Settings\M\Local Settings\Temp\{D0C3C1ED-0FFE-4B09-9989-3C8D40D0AA3C}\_extra

M: is the user name of windows.

the folder: {D0C3C1ED-0FFE-4B09-9989-3C8D40D0AA3C} will change, but you can always sort the the Temp folder by date... Look for it while your application is running.

good luck!
