Default Getting Shared Objects to work with SWFKit

I'm sorry for bothering you, but I'm a new user to SWFKit, and I can't figure out how to get the alarm clock application I created to read it's sharedObjects. I had created the clock in Flash8, with the ability to save the inputted alarm time and other settings, but when I used SWFKit to turn it into a widget, it doesn't seem to be able to access or find the sharedObjects anymore.

I hope my post isn't too vague, and I thank you in advance for any help that you could provide.
