Hello,
does a CD-Rom including a SWFKit.exe (with *swf and *.flv files included) can run stand alone even on the target computer is NO Flash Player or Flash Browser Plug In installed? Thank you in advance, Walter |

Hello,
Thank you for your answer. I have build a SWFKit.exe "standalone" with Flash8 *.swf sucessfully. The SWFKit.exe runs without problems on 2 different test computers, BUT on a 3th one it starts but it shows no content, just the window with white background. When I "right click" the window, it shows "Info über Macromedia Flash Player 5". As a test, I did also "right click" on the window of the 2 computers where the SWFKit.exe runs without problems, and it shows "Info über Macromedia Flash Player 9". - What could be the problem? - Is the SWFKit.exe still depending (or using) on the Flash version installed on the computer it runs? - Does it matter which FlashPlayer version I have installed on the computer the SWFKit.exe is created? (In my case I have FlashPlayer 9 installed) Thank you for any hint. Walter |

Please make sure that you have checked the "standalone" option. We have just tested a standalone executable file on two computers with flash player 5 installed, and found that it all works well.
The SWFKit v3 includes the flash player 9 installer, when it creates an executable file, if the "standalone" option has been checked, it will pack the flash player 9 installer into the output executable file. When the standalone executable file is launched, it will use the packed flash player 9 to play swf or flv files. Therefore, the standalone option has nothing to do with the flash player you have installed on your computer. However, SWFKit will still require you to install flash player, because it needs the flash player to preview(when press F9) output programs. |

Hello,
problem solved. I have upgraded from version SWFKit 3.0 to 3.11 and now it works also on the computer having Flash version 5 installed. Thank you, Walter Zeller |
