Default freereport and swfkit

Is it possible with freereport and swfkit to create a report where data is grouped.
Let's suppose you have a table like this:
Categorie1item 1description
Categorie1item 2description
Categorie1item 3description
Categorie1item 4description
Categorie2item 5description
Categorie2item 6description
...

The output should be like this
Code:
for example:

Category 1
 item1
   details ..
 item2
   details ..
 item3
   details ..
 item4
   details ..

Category 2
 item5
   details ..
 item6
   details ..

...
I think it has to do with the different kind of bands you can use.
There's a mastar data, detail data and subdetail data
you also have a group header.
But none of them (exept the master data) appear to get their data from swfkit.?? ???

Could somebody point me to in the right direction?
Or can't this be done because of the limitations of datasets?
