Wierd "problem"

I found that when using this code:

var ax = Global.createControl("Shell.Explorer.2", 0, 0, 350, 500);

and setting all properties to:

var ax = Global.createControl("Shell.Explorer.2", 0, 0, 0, 0);

does not make ANY difference at all, why are they there then ? i mean exactly, x, y, width, height properties ??? ??? ??? ???
