Default Connect DB: FFishScript / ActionScript ?

Hi,

My program would frequently access a medium size database (mdb)
Not only need to display the data, but also change the interface due to the data.
e.g. a movieclip location would be read from database.
And would need to update database too.

I found an ADODB wrapper class which can connect DB in ActionScript.

We highly recommend that you use FFish script to connect to databases
I got this by SWFKIT from here

But I think it is cumbersome to use setVariable and getVariable frequently.

Where should I connect database, FFishScript / ActionScript ?

Thanks

We recommend that you use it in ffish script. And since from within ffish script you can call actionscript methods, you need not call getVariable or setVariable all the time. More details about calling actionscript methods from within ffish script can be found at http://www.123flashchat.com/forum/in...p?topic=1807.0

When you think the performance of your program does not matter, you can write everything in actionscript for convenience.
