Default Silent Download of SWF

Hi,

Is it possible to download a swf from the internet and have it automatically save to a specific directory without
showing the windows dialogue box? I'm looking to create an auto-updater of sorts. I want to be able to download the new swf to replace an old one.

Thanks!

Yes, sure. You can use the Inet.getUrl method. If you want to create an auto-updater, you can use our autoupdate.dll directly.

Using autoupdate

Thanks,

I actually managed to figure out that part but now I'm having trouble making a progress bar with inet.geturl. I've looked on the forum to see that the ftp method offers a way of tracking progress of the download. Is there a way to do this with the Inet.getUrl method?

You can use the attached zdownloader component, which works in a multiple-threaded way.
