Default Intermittent problem when shutting down / starting up PC.

Hi,

Every now and again on our Windows 2000 Professional and Windows 98 PCs we receive a:

"Program is not responding" or
"Program has generated errors and will be closed"

error when shutting down the PC with one of our applications running, or launching the application from the Run section of the registry at Windows startup.

We had a previous problem where our application would completely crash at PC shutdown which was fixed (thanks SWFKit), just wanted to make sure that SWFKit v2.1 has all of these fixes in it? Might be a symptom of the same problem?

Cheers,

G.

Hi,

Just wanted to see if you had investigated this issue at all, and whether a problem did actually exist.

Cheers,

G.

We tested with several samples and didn't find the problem yet. Could you send us some samples?

???

Hmmm, unfortunately that is just the problem.... it doesn't happen all the time.

I haven't personally witnessed it, but I've received reports of an application that I developed doing it....

But even then I can't seem to replicate this issue myself.

lol, I know this doesn't really help your investigations, but if there is a possibility that it is related to SWFKit (somehow related to the previous issue with applications not shutting down correctly when rebooting?) then any ideas would be greatly received.

Cheers,

G.
