Is there a way to increase the frequency of the repainting of windows, or a more proper way to implement this?
Using the left mouse to drag the window around the screen (especially when transparencies are used) tends to show the traced edges for a few seconds, and then interrupt the drag when it finally does repaint, making you have to start dragging again? Also, I tried the transparencies with a color specification, with the setTransparent method, and clipping regions. None seemed to alleviate my problem. Thanks _K |

Hi,
The frequency of the repainting rests with the speed of your CPU. If you set the window of a program to be transparent by using a clip region, the program repaints almost as fast as a program with a normal window. A complex SWF movie uses much CPU time. If your SWF movie has just one blank frame, I think the problem will disapear. My computer is PII 300 with 192M memory, I have tested many programs on it. The speed is not the problem. I think your SWF movie might be very big and complex. If the reason is not like this, please don't hesitate to tell us. We will endeavor to improve SWFKit. |
