Default Opening Files in AS3

Hi all,

I have a copy of SWFKIT EXPRESS 3.5

I have read the tutorials but it abit too confusing for me, cause it seems to reference everything to AS 2.0

I've did up a flash interactive with AS 3.0, and i would like to use swfkit to open files like .doc, .pdf, .mp3 etc
What should i do? Do i use fscommand? or do i use ExternalInterface? What do i need to import in to use them? I've imported SWFKit.*

I saw this step in the tutorial "Attaching to a SWFKit project", do i need to do that? If needed, i'm using flash CS 5.5 and i cant seem to follow the steps stated in the tutorial.

Thanks in advance
