I made a screensaver with SWFKit Pro2 and made an exe installer. When installed, the screensaver disabled the AutoRun on the computer's CD but I did not select this option from preferences.
I uninstalled the screensaver and reset the computer to an earlier pre-installation condition. The autorun on the CD worked OK again I tried installing just the screensaver.scr file into C without using an installer and this also disabled the autorun on the computer. But this time I could not re-set the computer. I tried on another computer and it did the same thing. I deleted the screensaver from both computers but can not get the Autorun to reactivate. I have checked registry settings but can't find any reason why the autorun will no longer work on the CD drives of both computer. Do all SWFKit screensavers disable the autorun on CD drives? How can I get the autorun to work again? |

Further info. I fixed the autorun by making the following registry changes. I don't know which was the one that worked.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "allocatecdroms"="0" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer] "NoDriveTypeAutoRun"=dword:00000091 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer] "NoSaveSettings"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Cdrom] "AutoRun"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer] "NoDriveTypeAutoRun"=hex:95,00,00,00 I would still like to make screensavers with swfkit but can't risk messing up the registry settings of clients.
