Insert Code
1. Click Publish Chat button in the user login page
2. Generate the chat code in the following form.
3. Copy and insert the chat code.

 

123 Flash Chat offers you the power to add the chat to your webpage. After installing 123 Flash Chat, you can publish your chat room to your website users.

The similar approach is used to insert the variable chat clients like "standard", "advanced", "lite client", "avatar chat"... their differences are SWF files, size, etc.

Take "standard demo" for example, here is the instruction to generate chat room code to be inserted into your webpage HTML.

· Copy client to Web Server

Publish the "client" folder: Copy <123 flashchat installed dir/client> folder to the document root directory of your web server.

If you use Apache, the default web root directory is <Apache install directory>/htdoc. As for IIS, the default directory is c:\inetsrv\wwwroot.

· Insert Code

It includes three steps:

1: Click Publish Chat button in the user login page

2: Generate the chat code in the following form.

Get code type:

The code generated can be JavaScript or html script, considering its better compatibility performance, we recommend JavaScript.

Client type:

You can choose the client type that you want to generate code here, they are may be Standard chat, Admin panel, Lite chat, Avatar chat, Banner chat, Pocket PC chat, Html chat.

Chat server host name or IP

You can enter your chat server’s host name or IP at here, due to the limited usable resource of VDS/VPS, we recommend our client to use a dedicated server to host 123flashchat, and we also provide hosting service features with reasonable price and authoritative technical support, click here for more detailed information.

Chat server port:

You can enter the port of you chat server here.

Your web server URL where 123flashchat.swf is located:

123flashchat.swf (contains in Client folder) can be stored on your chat server, or you can save it on another web server, enter the specific location where 123flashchat.swf is located.

Fill the filed as required and click the Generate Code button::

The code would show in the field below and you can have a preview by clicking Preview.

3: Copy and insert the chat code.

Copy the code in the blank and paste it at the proper position of your HTML page.

Now, you have added a chat room to your webpage.

Note:

If the chat client failed to be loaded after the above code was inserted into your webpage, please double check the path of "123flashchat.swf" file and make sure
"123flashchat.swf" is located in another web folder, like:

http://www.youdomain.com/chat/123flashchat.swf

The absolute URL is required like this:
