It takes minutes to deploy 123 Live Help to your website and then visitors can talk to your staff members online face to face.
123 Live Help is made of one java server and three flash clients, the clients are respectively for operator, customer/visitor and administrator. With the staff panel, the agents can monitor the visitors on the website, invite them to talk. With customer panel which may be initiated by a operator status button, the visitors can ask for help from the operator members. Last but not least, administrator can manage and monitor the whole 123 Live Help system with admin panel. For the quick start, let’s go! Basic Approach Step1. Install the 123 Live Help Download the free trial version of 123 Live Help software from: http://www.123flashchat.com/live-chat-download.html
Run it on your dedicated server or using unrestricted shell account like SSH/Telnet account (for Linux) or remote desktop access (for Windows) to install the 123 Live Help Chat Software. (A simple manual on installing 123 Live Help Chat Server) Done with that, open the folder <123 Live Help Installation Directory>/html/ and there are all the flash clients for the end customer, operator and administrator, HTML and SWF.
After installing the 123 Live Help Chat Server successfully, please enter http://yourdomain: 8988 in the address field of the browser for testing.
When you access that page successfully, then you can log in the admin panel and the operator panel. If it has been installed on the windows, please double-click the icon of it to login. If it has been installed on the Linux, it is necessary for you to download and install the 123livehelp_client.exe on PC with Windows.
Step2. Test the 123 Live Help Chat Server After finishing the installation, double-click the 123livehelp icon. Then configure the host and the port ( default: 8969 ). The host is the 123livehelp server’s domain or IP and the port is of the 123livehelp server’s port. The “operatora / test” and “operatorb / test” are the usernames and passwords for Operator Panel log-in testing. After logging in the Operator panel, please visit this page http://yourdomain:8988/customer-panel.html to test it. When you satisfied the testing, please log in the Admin Panel to reset the operator accounts and admin accounts. The admin/admin is the username and password for the Admin Panel log-in testing. After you make your own configurations, please send the operator accounts' information, 123livehelp_client.exe, and configuration information of the 123 Live Help Chat Server to the corresponding operator. While 123livehelp_client.exe Installed successfully, the operator needs to enter server address and server port information in the settings areal of login panel. Step3. Deploy Operator Status Button The operator status button on your website shows the visitor that the live support from a real person is just a click-away and even indicates the operator is online or offline.

Advanced Setting Step4. Move Flash Clients You can skip this step if the default location is fine for you. But if you prefer to move the client folder to somewhere else, including SWFs, XMLs, HTMLs, “skin” folder and "lang" folder, etc., you should be careful. The server and the clients are recommended to be on the same server so that the configuration is easier.live_status.js, this file reflects the data change of the chat server at real-time, including all the online operator and their department, and all available departments. The physical destination of the JS file is flexible and defined in “default.xml”, two samples: <live-status-file enable="On"></live-status-file> <live-status-file enable="On">c:\website\live_status.js</live-status-file> The first case is in the default client folder of the installation folder, the second is absolute address. Once the destination is acquired by the chat server, it will generate a “live_status.js” there. Therefore, the “live_status.js” will be on the chat server. So, in the client HTML, if the html folder and the JS can be visited via the same domain, it can be relative address like this: <script src="live_status.js"></script>. In conclusion, if you want to move the flash client to a proper directory of your website, please copy the whole “html” folder to anywhere you want so that the visitors, operators and admins can browse these flash clients on internet easily. Now the “html” folder becomes a part of your website. Step5. Deploy Website Monitor for Proactive Invitations. To monitor the website visitors, the specific monitor code needs to be embedded into the webpage(s) you want to keep an eye onto, like pricing.html, buy.html, etc. In that way the operator members can initiate proactive chat invitations to the potential customers. The monitor is written in javascript code, and we’ve prepared a code generator for you. Browse the “index.html” or “welcome” webpage (as mentioned before), switch to the “Generate Code” panel, then copy the invite window code to any HTML page you prefer.
